Trial Run for Our Presentation

Our team met today in Keene to do a trial run for our presentation that we will give in Australia. Being our first time that we put our portions together and presented to an audience, it went pretty well. Our guests were Chris Parkinson our District Governor, Alley and Charlie Boucher, Mike Swinford, John VerPloeg, Linda and Jay Bliss, Joe and Lori Pratt, Deb Puderbaugh, Tony Gilmore, and Pete's parents. We received valuable feedback that we will incorporate into our presentation.

Only 19 days to go til departure for Sydney! Even though the planning has been for months now, seems like the trip is rushing up like a fast wave.

We've received our finalized itinerary from District 9690 in New South Wales, and it is packed with wonderful activities and visits. 9690 has totally splashed out for us with trips to the Jenolan Caves, an Aboriginal bushwalk, Manly Beach, Penrith Lakes, Katoomba Scenic Railway, Georges River Cruise, whitewater river rafting, the Taronga Zoo, Sydney Opera House, and a Harbour Bridge Climb!

I am especially excited about the Vocational Days which include the Sydney University Veterinary Hospitals, Royal Agricultural Show, and local veterinary practices like the ones Steve and I work in.

But overall excited for the whole experience, meeting Rotarians and learning about their community and international service projects. Such a wonderful way to meet new people, knowing they contribute their time, work and energy to others.

Catch up later, must get my taxes done before leaving! :) Mina
